Hi! My name is FlyFrode, and I’ve been around general aviation since I was a kid. Every weekend, I’d join my dad at the local airfield — and honestly, it was the ice cream that kept me going back 😄!
Eventually, I learned the names of planes and helicopters, built models, spotted aircraft, flightsim, and got hooked on aviation in general.
When it was time to choose a path, I had just one goal:
Become a fighter pilot!
There was a pretty solid rumor that over 60% of those accepted into the Air Force had flown gliders — so that became my next step on my journey at the age of 18.
Sure, becoming a fighter pilot takes more than just a glider license — but my dream took a fun detour! Today I’m a glider and light sport aircraft instructor, flying aerobatics, making amazing memories, and sharing it all with great friends. And honestly… it’s almost like being a fighter pilot. 😄
